A specialist in gynecologic surgery, Dr. Simopoulos completed his training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland as an Obstetrician Gynecologist. Dr. Simopoulos received extensive surgical and medical training from among the most renowned physicians in the entire world. Johns Hopkins Hospital is currently the #1 ranked hospital nationally for the sixteenth consecutive year by US News & World Report. In addition, the Gynecology department at Johns Hopkins for which Dr. Simopoulos served as a Chief Resident is also the #1 ranked program nationally.

Dr. Simopoulos received his medical degree from the University of Virginia, a top 25 nationally ranked medical school program and is also a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University in Washington D.C. with a Bachelor of Science in biology. While at Georgetown, Dr. Simopoulos was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
