  10. Question: My labia majora are too long and saggy what can be done about it?
    Answer: Patients complain of sagging and relaxed labia majora. This can be caused from weight loss, aging, childbirth or a combination of these factors. As a result the labia majora look old and tired.The labia majora can be rejuvenated via two techniques of removing the excess skin and tightening the labia majora. The first technique is accomplished by an incision in the perineum but this is use for cases when there is mild to moderate relaxation of the labia majora. When there is moderate to severe relaxation of the labia majora we use a vertical elliptical incision which takes up the excess top to bottom side to side and the height.
  11. Question: How long does the procedure take?
    Answer: The procedure that involves the incision in the perineum takes approximately 20 minutes. In this procedure the excess skin of the lower fourth of the labia majora or resected and the muscles of the labia majora pull together in the midline in the perineum.
